"Blue Velvet, All Encompassing"
On a night when the moon glows yellow
I stand at the top of the Great Divide
Examining the celestial bodies
As before my eyes they begin to soar and glide
Of course there are reasons for this
Every phenomena has explanations
Formulas float, flutter, and fly
To form grand postulations
Suddenly I grow sick inside
I realize for every figure I could make
I will never grasp all there is to comprehend
Of the true vastness of this scape
But I stop mid-thought
And just stare up at the sky
Up at that blue velvet, so all-encompassing
In that instant, I cease to try
Whoever said truth was a science
Never remembered to lean back their head
For it is in those moments that I neglect to look inwards
I am able to see upwards instead
On a night when the moon glows yellow
I stand at the top of the Great Divide
Examining the celestial bodies
As before my eyes they begin to soar and glide
Of course there are reasons for this
Every phenomena has explanations
Formulas float, flutter, and fly
To form grand postulations
Suddenly I grow sick inside
I realize for every figure I could make
I will never grasp all there is to comprehend
Of the true vastness of this scape
But I stop mid-thought
And just stare up at the sky
Up at that blue velvet, so all-encompassing
