Kingswood Elementary at Umstead State Park
After a presentation on Native Americans and meeting Sandy the Red-tailed Hawk, students identified soil critters, met trees without using their eyes, played nature-themed games, and took an exploratory hike. 

Over several meetings with C.H.E.R. this year, students conducted a ground assessment of their campus, picked the best place for a Rain Garden to help mediate soil erosion and combat flooding, and then helped plant it!
